Anyone can benefit from therapy :) Whether you are dealing with specific challenges like anxiety, depression, or trauma, or simply looking to improve your overall mental and emotional well-being; therapy can be a great resource! Therapy offers a safe, supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, fostering personal growth and resilience.
In the initial assessment, we will gather information about your background, concerns, and goals. This session helps to establish a clear understanding of your needs, develop a treatment plan, and determine the best approach for therapy moving forward.
The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. We recommend attending therapy once a week or bi-weekly, but others may attend less frequently. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Sessions are currently being offered online through a secure platform (JaneApp) for your convenience and safety.
We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or no-shows made within 48 hours will incur a fee of $50. Your timely communication helps us serve all our clients effectively.
Most health insurance plans offer coverage for psychotherapy services. However, we strongly recommend for you to check with your insurance provider to confirm if they cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and to clarify the details of your coverage. At the end of each session, you will be issued a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider.
The cost of therapy is $160 per 60 min session. A sliding scale may be available in certain circumstances. Please feel free to reach out for more information. If you are using health insurance, payment is still required at the time of the session. We accept payment via credit card or e-transfer, and it is due at the end of each session.
We offer a sliding scale payment option to make therapy more accessible. This means the cost of your sessions can be adjusted based on your financial situation. Please note that there are limited spots and sessions available for sliding scale clients, and we encourage you to inquire during your initial consultation to see if this option is a good fit for you.
